Obstinate
stubborn; hard-headed; uncompromising.
Example:-
I tried to convince her to change her mind, but she was obstinate
Mnemonic:-
obs+tin+ate he ate tin so he is stubborn fellow as he is hard to control
 
Obtuse
lacking in insight; not clear or precise in thought or expression; slow to learn or understand; dumb
Example:-
He is too obtuse to take a hint.
Mnemonic:-
Imagine a pencil tip ...... the more obtuse the angle b/w the 2 edges of tip, the more blunt the tip is.

Obviate
prevent the occurrence of ; prevents from happening.
Example:-
The new medical treatment obviates the need for surgery.
Mnemonic:-
If it is obvious, you can obviate it easily(you can prevent it.)

Occlude
to obstruct or block
Example:-
The wad of paper occluded the toilet
Mnemonic:-
when you include someone they are welcome and the gates are always open but when you OCCLUDE(rhymes with EXCLUDE), they are unwelcome and hence the gates are SHUT or CLOSED on them.

Odious
intense aversion or dislike
Example:-
Because Mark had an odious personality, he had very few friends.
Mnemonic:-
People with bad odour are disliked.

Onerous
troubling; burdensome.
Example:-
The government imposed onerous taxes on imports.
Mnemonic:-
it sounds like ON US. When something is on us, we feel burdensome.

Opprobrium
disgrace; contempt; scorn
Example:-
Ben’s criminal opprobrium nearly cost him the election.
Mnemonic:-
oppROBrium..stress on rob..if u rob something ull be dishonoured
