Hackneyed
repeated too often; overfamiliar through overuse
Example:-
Politicians use of "change for tomorrow" is a hackneyed expression.
Mnemonic:-
concentrate on hack !!! once a hacker is ALWAYS a hacker.. he overuses his techniques.

Halcyon
calm and peaceful
Example:-
The halcyon was calming the wild waves. 
Mnemonic:-
halycon can be considered as opposite of cyclone...just imagine a cyclone...you will understand what I mean 
 
Harangue
a lengthy and aggressive speech.
Example:-
She delivered her harangue with much venom, leaving her audience in shock.
Mnemonic:-
HARANGUE can be split as har + ang + u + e....so when YOU are ANGry with HAR(her), she is subjected to a long or intensive verbal attack.

Hedonism
devotion to the pursuit of pleasures, esp. to the pleasure of senses.
Example:-
Bob practiced hedonism as he refused to listen to his parents and spent most of his time chasing life's pleasures.
Mnemonic:-
he(is)don... and obviously has strong devotion to pleasures of senses.

Hegemony
the consistent dominance of one state or ideology over others
Example:-
The British hegemony of India ended in early 1900s
Mnemonic:-
hegemony:he's got money,so he's domineering in the society and he control others

Heretical
violating accepted dogma or convention
Example:-
His teaching style was very heretical, but it actually helped his students learn the required material.
Mnemonic:-
Heretical, reminds of hierarchy which means divisions of labor with set rules, therefore one which doesn't follow the set rules is "heretical" 

Hubris
arrogant presumption or pride.
Example:-
Her hubris prevented her from asking for help on the project, so it was late.
Mnemonic:-
HUB+RIS(RAISE)--A person RAISEd in a HUB(city centre),will be arrogant and conceited towards villagers and others. 
  
Hyperbole
an exaggerated statement
Example:-
As far as I am concerned, Apple's claims about the new computer are pure hyperbole. No machine is that good.
Mnemonic:-
hyper(beyond the limit) + bole(speak)
