Idolatrous
blindly or excessively devoted or adoring
Example:-
The honey bee workers were faithful, yet idolatrous to their queen.
Mnemonic:-
the practice of worshipping statues("idols") as gods!!!!

Imminent
about to happen; impending
Example:-
I'm sorry to tell you that with the latest threat, you and your family appear to be in imminent danger.
Mnemonic:-
imminent sounds similar to immediate. so imminent means about to occur immediately.

Impassive
revealing no emotion or feeling
Example:-
He sat motionless and impassive with his lips closed and his eyes glazed.
Mnemonic:-
Impassive-> A person saying-"I m Passive(Not Active)", that means he has no feelings,emotions

Impecunious
lacking funds; without money.
Example:-
Her lavish spending left her an impecunious woman.
Mnemonic:-
Read it like :- Inpe kyu nahi cash(money)

Imperturbable
marked by extreme calm, impassivity and steadiness.
Example:-
Since Joe was normally imperturbable, the sight of the broken window didn't faze him, but he was confused as to how the accident actually happened.
Mnemonic:-
imperturbabble--im + pertur (like tur tur) + babble ( just talking foolishly..). So, the person who never do any tur-tur and never babbles is a very cool, calm and peaceful guy.

Impetuous
hastily or rashly energetic; impulsive and steadiness.
Example:-
But it was natural, that the impetuous, restless young artist should incline more to excess of strength than of delicacy in his playing. 
Mnemonic:-
im(not)-pet-tuo(to)-us...a dog which is not our pet will be very VIOLENT and RASH.

Impunity
immunity from punishment or penalty
Example:-
Because the private contractor was not accountable to the United States' government nor the Iraqi government, it was able to operate with impunity.
Mnemonic:-
impunity sounds like immunity. Punitive means punishment while impunity is immunity from punishment

Inchoate
in an initial stage; not fully formed
Example:-
He had no hope of persuading his audience as his argument was inherently inchoate
Mnemonic:-
choate seems like "chote"..for example "chote bachche" means not fully grown up or in the initial stage of life.

Incipient
beginning to come into being; only partly in existence.
Example:-
An incipient population is still small but beginning to reproduce and become established
Mnemonic:-
incipient is a partial word of 'incident'.

Infelicitous
unfortunate; inappropriate
Example:-
Ramu got less marks in exam for his infelicitous answers for the questions given in the exam
Mnemonic:-
think "fell" and "phallus" one is unfortunate and the other inappropriate (to pull out at dinner)

Ingenuous
characterized by an inability to mask your feelings; someone who is ingenuous shows a childlike innocence, trust and openness. 
Example:-
Jessica’s ingenuous nature made her an easy target for the con man.
Mnemonic:-
In genuine relationship, people are naive and trusting to each other.

Inimical
damaging; harmful; injurious
Example:-
Frequent climatic changes are inimical for the growth of plants.
Mnemonic:-
inimi=enemy, and enemies cause damage. So inimical means something damaging.

Innocuous
harmless; causing no damage
Example:-
Mary was scared that the dog was going to hurt her baby, but after a while she found that the dog was innocuous.
Mnemonic:-
in(not) + nocuous(noxious) ---> means not noxious ....... harmless

Insipid
without taste or flavour; lacking in spirit
Example:-
my cat that i bought from the pet shop a month ago is getting INSIPID and just not interested on anything around him
Mnemonic:-
in+sip+id(it) in-'not, -ve prefix', so when you do not sip it, i.e a juice ,then it means the juice lacks flavor.


Intractable
not easily managed or directed; stubborn; obstinate
Example:-
Quinn has made remarkable progress but Howie has become intractable on a number of issues.
Mnemonic:-
Intractable: things which can not be brought in the right track... opposite of tractable.


Intransigent
refusing to compromise.
Example:-
I point out that I am doing it as a public service, and earning nothing from it, but they remain intransigent.
Mnemonic:-
A gent in trans(trance) does not listen to anyone .... does not compromise.

Intrepid
steadfast and courageous
Example:-
Columbus was an intrepid explorer, showing his endurance, resolute fearlessness and fortitude.
Mnemonic:-
IN TRAP... you are fearless and confident that you will come out of it.

Inured
accustomed to tolerate something undesirable; made tough by habitual exposure.
Example:-
If you have gotten so many mosquito bites in your life that they no longer bother you, you have become inured to them.
Mnemonic:-
If you ENDURE something, you become inured to it.

Inveigle
influence by gentle urging or flattery.
Example:-
The pretty woman was able to inveigle the drunken man into buying her some
chocolates and a free drink.
Mnemonic:-
In LOTR, smaegol (sounds like inveigle) influence Frodo by flattering.


Irascible
easily angered; prone to temperamental outbursts. 
Example:-
Irascible doctor who is offended by his presence beats him to within an inch 
of his life.
Mnemonic:-
"racist + able". So, making racist remarks can easily anger anyone.
